Guests are invited to enjoy the many outdoor adventures including daily horseback rides, fishing, canoeing, boating, and mountain biking.
Fly-fishing is the number one recommended way to fish on Glimpse Lake. Other methods of fishing this beautiful trout filled lake would be either spin casting or trolling. You may troll a lure or a fly. Glimpse Lake is approx. 3.5 km long, almost 1 km at its widest point, with an average depth of 30ft. and at its deepest 180ft. Glimpse Lake requires that only electric motors are to be used. All fishing gear ranging from boats, rods, tackle and licenses are included in the Ranch package. Within a 20 minute walk there is one of British Columbia's finest trophy fishing lakes, Blue Lake, as well as many other trout filled lakes a short trip from the Ranch.
Horseback Riding is "Western" style only. The Ranch has over 20 horses available for all calibre of riders. All rides into the wilderness are accompanied and are dependant upon the guests' skills and experience. Arrangements for riding groups are initiated by us after their arrival. According to their riding ability and desires for the days, they will be assigned to a group most capable with them. Prior to riding, they will also have the opportunity to get acquainted in our paddock with a horse, in addition to watching horseman demonstrations.
